Safeway offers teen driver's education in cooperation with District 197 Community Education

Class Schedule:

After School in-person classes are held during the school year on Mon - Thu from 3:20 - 6:20 pm 
After School distance learning classes are held during the school year on Mon- Thu from 4:00 - 7:00 pm

Morning classes are held during the summer on Mon-Fri from 9:00 am-Noon

Afternoon classes are held during the summer on Mon-Fri from 1:00-4:00 pm

Class Location:

In Person classes are offered at Two Rivers High School, A332 Lecture Hall 
(1897 Delaware Ave, Mendota Heights, MN 55118). 

Registration:

Registration and payment is made through District 197 Community Education. To register for classes, click the green Sign Up button on the appropriate time and start date in the calendar below or call District 197 Community Education at 651-403-7000.

Information:

For Distance Learning classes, State rules require each student to have an audio and video connection to the class.  Accordingly, students must attend the teleconference classes on a laptop, tablet or desktop computer with a web camera and microphone.  Cell phones are not appropriate devices for participating in class. 

Please Note.  Printing will be required for this class. In-class handouts (quizzes, worksheets) and the MN Driver's Manual will be emailed as pdf documents prior to class.  The handouts should be printed and available to the student for use during class.  The manual should also be printed and available during class.  The manual can be printed single-sided, two-on-a-page requiring 52 pages or double-sided, two-on-a-page requiring 26 pages.
Hard copies of the handouts and MN Driver's Manual are also available to registered students through the community education office prior to the start date.
