Safeway offers teen driver's education in cooperation with Edina Community Education

Class Schedule:

After School in-person classes are held during the school year on Mon - Thu from 3:30-6:30 pm.
After School distance learning classes are held during the school year on Mon - Thu from 4:00-7:00 pm.

Summer in-person morning classes are held Mon - Fri from 9:00-12:00 pm.

Summer in-person afternoon classes are held Mon - Fri from 1:00-4:00 pm.

Summer distance learning morning classes are held Mon - Fri from 9:00-12:00 pm.

Summer distance learning afternoon classes are held Mon - Fri 1:00-4:00 pm.

In Person After school classes are offered at EHS Prof Dev - W223 Community Room 2
(6754 Valley View Rd, Edina, MN 55439).

Registration:

Registration and payment is made through Edina Community Education. To register for classes, click the green Sign Up button on the appropriate start date in the calendar below or call 952-848-3952.

Information:

For Distance Learning classes, State rules require each student to have an audio and video connection to the class.  Accordingly, students must attend the teleconference classes on a laptop, tablet or desktop computer with a web camera and microphone.  Cell phones are not appropriate devices for participating in class. 

Please Note.  Printing will be required for this class. In-class handouts (quizzes, worksheets) and the MN Driver's Manual will be emailed as pdf documents prior to class.  The handouts should be printed and available to the student for use during class.  The manual should also be printed and available during class.  The manual can be printed single-sided, two-on-a-page requiring 52 pages or double-sided, two-on-a-page requiring 26 pages.
Hard copies of the handouts and MN Driver's Manual are also available to registered students through the community education office prior to the start date.
